Microsoft Surface 2.0

Microsoft has now come up with Microsoft 2.0 after the sucess of its first product released in 2008.
The Microsoft Surface platform brings people together to connect, learn, and decide. It enables experiences that change the way people collaborate and connect with a 360-degree interface. And, with" Pixel Sense, Microsoft Surface sees and responds to touch and real world objects—supporting more than 50 simultaneous inputs.
This experience comes to life with the new 40 inch Samsung SUR40 for Microsoft Surface that can be used as a table, on the wall, or embedded in other fixtures or furniture.
Surface 2.0 platform software and SDK is build upon:

• Embedded Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
• .NET Framework 4.0
• Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) 4.0
• Microsoft XNA Framework 4.0
• Windows PowerShell and DMTF DASH support, and enhanced administrator tools.

With further hardware firmware and software optimizations to make, Microsoft anticipates general availability later this year. The now more affordable device will actually be sold through Samsung’s distribution channels (instead of Microsoft) to further broaden its appeal.
